Jorasz Family Ranch is a family owned farm in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula.
Andy and Teri bought the property in 2005 and have been improving and growing the herd ever since. Andy is the fourth generation of Jorasz farmers in his family and we benefit from a long farming heritage.
The fifth generation of Jorasz farmers consists of three daughters, Faith (24), Emily (20), Brianna (12) and a son, Nathan (10) who help us care for all of our beautiful animals. Faith is studying to be a teacher, and recently married Jared Demeuse. They are living in their new home in Gladstone. We are so happy for them, but miss her around here. Emily enjoys helping on the farm, showing & selling 4H hogs and working at our sister dairy and on our ranch. Brianna just started third grade and she loves all her animals and learning about them. Nathan is in first grade, is our motor-head and loves anything with wheels. He loves the animals too and does what he can to give us a hand.
Together, we pasture raise 100% grass-fed Angus beef cattle & American Bison, pasture raise a couple heritage Hereford hogs, some laying hens, ducks and turkeys, and Brown Swiss cattle. All of our animals have access to green pastures while the Michigan weather allows, and are fed hay (all) and supplement grains (hogs/chickens/dairy cows) from our sister farm (Jorasz Family Dairy) in the winter. We keep their diet as close to what nature intended as possible for our climate.
