Author: Ivy Netzel

Ivy lives in a quiet little hamlet called Jam Dam (unincorporated Gourley Township) on the Cedar River in Menominee County, Michigan. With her husband of 38 years, Ken, moved here in 2014 because after long careers as engineers, they were looking for a peaceful corner of the world to retire. Ivy has always been interested in nutrition, healthy eating, and self-reliance. She is an avid gardener and she loves to can and freeze her yearly harvest. Not only does Ivy drink raw milk, she makes Kefir, French cheeses such as Brie and Camembert, semi-hard cheese such as Gouda and Italico, and she's working on making Gruyere (her all-time favorite cheese to eat!)
